Ann Speltz

Biographical Info Ann Speltz is an independent artist. Her guides in exploring painting have been Jason Miklik (Evanston Figurative Art League), Eleanor Spiess-Ferris (Evanston Art Center), and Helen Oh (Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Arts). Speltz has a B.A. in English from Macalester College and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Stony Brook University. As Senior Editor of the Great Books Foundation, she co-authored the original edition of the Junior Great Books Curriculum. President and founder of Kid Support, Inc., she authored the leading peer support program for children with cancer in the family. Speltz had her first solo exhibit, “Roots and Nurse Trees,” at the NUPOC Gallery in 2019.
