Deborah Popely

Biographical Info Deb Popely is a lifelong art enthusiast who loves to paint the natural and built worlds in acrylics, watercolor, oils and pastels. She also works in collage and enjoys printmaking. An avid portrait artist, she strives to express the interior spirit of people and other living beings in a two-dimensional space. Deb considers herself to be at the beginning of her art journey and is seeking to find her unique voice through observation and instruction by the artists she meets at workshops, paint outs and exhibits. She has furthered her art education by attending workshops at the Peninsula School of Art (Fish Creek, WI), Scottsdale Artists’ School (Scottsdale, AZ), and Evanston Arts Center (Evanston, IL), among others, and has received instruction from Nancie King Mertz, Andy Evanson, Dale Popovich, Steven Puttrich and David Becker.
