Jill Zylke

Biographical Info Jill Zylke has formally studied fine art and illustration, earning a degree from the American Academy of Art in Chicago. After graduating, she continued her studies and served on the Board of Directors at the Palette and Chisel Academy, and as vice-president of Windy City Arts, a non-profit organization that brought together Chicago artists on collaborative projects. She is currently on the steering committee of the Plein Air Painters of Chicago and a member of the Chicago Alliance for Visual Art. Her work has been shown in such prestigious galleries as Ann Nathan, ARC Gallery, Mars Gallery, 33 Contemporary, Jackson Junge, Eyeporium and the Chicago Cultural Center; and in numerous solo exhibitions, as well as many group shows such as the Beverly Fine Art Center Baer Art Competition, the Chicago Artists' Coalition Art Open, the ARC Gallery Regional Exhibition, and Around The Coyote. She has been a featured artist in the Chicago Art News and Chicago Sun-Times newspapers, as well as on the Revere Graphics and Enteron Group calendars. She has also been interviewed on the television show Is It Art? and in the online publications Outdoor Painter and Reverse-R-Salon. She works as a painter, graphic designer, and illustrator.
