Paint out: Chinatown and Ping Tom Park
October 10 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT
Chinatown‘s Wentworth Avenue boasts the Chinatown Gate, numerous paintable storefronts, and the 1920’s Merchants building with its tiles and pagoda roof. It’s a wonderful neighborhood and the residents are always friendly and intrigued by our paintings. A great plein air neighborhood!!!

Ping Tom Memorial Park‘s 12-acre site was originally a Chicago and Western Indiana Railroad yard located along the edge of the South Branch of the Chicago River. Named in honor of Chinatown’s most noted civic leader, Ping Tom (1935-1995), the park offers a Chinese style pavilion and a different view of the skyline upriver.
