Paint Out: Prairie Avenue
August 1 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT
Once the premier street to live on in Chicago. Historic mansions line this street. This is a beautiful quiet area south of the loop. Highlights are the dead end of the street where you will find the oldest house in Chicago, officially at 1827 Indiana, but it’s park and fountain can be accessed from Prairie Ave. There are many other beautiful spots in the 1800’s-1900’s of Prairie, Indiana and Wabash.
The famous Glessner House is at 1800 S. Prairie.
The Second Presbyterian Church is at 1936 S. Michigan.
